What Hebbal changes about the job

The towers here are exposed, and above roughly the fifteenth floor we bring the anchor spacing in on any elevation that catches the prevailing wind — the same specification we would use on any high wind-load face. On the older Sahakar Nagar and RT Nagar houses the issue is the opposite one: original parapets built decades ago to a lower height, where the cable run has to start from the deck rather than from the top of the wall.
Hebbal puts a lake, a major flyover and a run of tall towers within a kilometre of each other, and each of the three shows up in the work. The lake brings the same resident bird pressure as Bellandur. The flyover brings road dust onto every north-facing balcony below about the tenth floor. And the towers around Manyata and Nagavara are exposed enough that anything fitted above the fifteenth floor gets the closer anchor spacing we would use on any high wind-load elevation.

Questions we get in Hebbal
We are on a high floor near Manyata. Does wind affect an invisible grill?
Not the cable — 316-grade stainless under tension is not something wind moves. What height changes is the load on the anchor points, so on exposed high-floor elevations we bring the fixing spacing in rather than using the standard grid. There is no extra charge for that; it is simply how we specify at height.
Which parts of Hebbal do you cover?

Will the grill actually be invisible?
Not literally — up close you can see the cable. From a few feet back, and from outside the building, the opening reads as open. That is the whole reason people choose it over an MS grill.
Is 2-inch spacing safe for a small child?
Yes. Two inches is narrower than a toddler's head breadth, which is the standard the spacing is set against, and the cable is under tension so it does not spread apart under a push.
Does drilling damage the balcony?
Anchors go into the structural parapet edge and the slab soffit, not the tile face. The holes are sealed and touched up as part of the job.
How long does an invisible grill last in Bangalore?
316-grade stainless does not rust in this climate, and the cable is under tension rather than under load, so there is nothing that wears in normal use. The practical life is far longer than a painted MS grill in the same position.
What does an invisible grill cost in Bangalore?
