Questions we get in Hebbal
Is bird pressure near Hebbal Lake worse than elsewhere in north Bangalore?
Yes, in the same way it is around Bellandur — a permanent water body supports a resident population, and resident birds take an open ledge quickly and keep testing a net. It does not change the material we use, but it does mean the sealing at every edge has to be right.
Which parts of Hebbal do you cover?

Is netting cruel to the pigeons?

Yes, and at association rates. Block-wide netting is usually cheaper per flat and far more effective than owners netting one balcony at a time.
We netted one balcony and the pigeons moved upstairs. What now?
That is normal in a tower — netting one flat displaces the colony rather than removing it. The lasting fix is closing the duct shafts and the shared ledges as a block, which is an association decision. We will quote both so a committee can compare them.
