What bird netting actually are

Humane, and It Actually Lasts.

Bird netting is a fine UV-treated nylon mesh tensioned across an opening or a face and anchored to the surrounding structure with stainless fixings. The mesh aperture is sized specifically to exclude pigeons while staying open enough that air, light and rain pass through the space normally. Fitted correctly it is a permanent exclusion rather than a deterrent, which is the whole difference between it and spikes.

JS Invisible Grills installs bird netting across Bangalore on balconies, ledges, duct shafts and building faces where pigeons have made themselves at home. The mesh physically shuts the space off — no spikes, no chemicals, nothing that harms the birds — and because it is sealed to the structure at every edge rather than draped across the obvious opening, they do not simply find their way back in around the side.

What we fit

Bird Netting That Keeps Pigeons Out Permanently

JS Invisible Grills fits bird netting in Bangalore in UV-treated nylon mesh on stainless steel anchors across balconies, ledges, AC platforms and duct shafts. Unlike spikes, gels or reflective tape, a properly sealed net is a physical exclusion — the birds do not adapt around it, because there is no gap left to adapt through.

Pigeons Come Back Through the Gap You Missed

Every failed pigeon netting job we are called to re-do has the same fault: the flat face is covered and the corners are not. Pigeons are persistent about a roost they have used, and they will work a two-inch gap at a beam junction for weeks. That is especially true beside the lakes — Bellandur, Hebbal, Agara — where the population is resident rather than passing and the net is under pressure constantly. We net the whole envelope, corners, returns and the strip behind the AC bracket included, and seal the perimeter to the structure rather than tacking it to the railing.

What you get

Why our bird netting hold up

We quote after looking at where the birds actually get in, not just at the opening you can see from inside. That usually means netting a corner return, a beam junction or the strip behind an AC bracket that a cheaper quote leaves open — and it is the only reason our netting stays effective while the neighbour's is re-colonised inside a year.

Humane by Design A barrier, not a trap or a poison — the birds simply move on to somewhere they can land.
The Mess Stops No droppings on the floor, no nesting material in the duct, no smell in the utility balcony.
Protects the Building Fabric Droppings are acidic — they stain masonry and corrode AC brackets and exposed fixings.
It Does Not Wear Off Unlike gel, tape or sound deterrents, a sealed net does not lose its effect after a season.

Questions we get

Is netting cruel to the pigeons?

No. It is a barrier — the birds cannot land there and go elsewhere. Nothing traps, injures or poisons them, which is not true of spikes or gels.

There is a nest with eggs on my balcony. Can you still net it?

Tell us when you call. We would rather time the job around an active nest than seal a bird in, and we will advise on when to schedule.

Can the duct still be opened for plumbing work?

Yes — duct netting is fitted with resettable fixings so a plumber can open the panel and re-secure it afterwards.

Do you do whole apartment blocks?

Yes, and at association rates. Block-wide netting is usually cheaper per flat and far more effective than owners netting one balcony at a time.

We netted one balcony and the pigeons moved upstairs. What now?

That is normal in a tower — netting one flat displaces the colony rather than removing it. The lasting fix is closing the duct shafts and the shared ledges as a block, which is an association decision. We will quote both so a committee can compare them.
