Sports nets across Whitefield — practice nets, box cricket enclosures and terrace play areas for the gated communities around ITPL, Hope Farm, Kadugodi and Brookefield.
What Whitefield changes about the job
The same crew and the same materials everywhere in Bangalore — what changes is the building stock, and what that means for how the job is fitted.
Most of this work in Whitefield is a community amenity rather than a private one: a practice net in the podium area, or a box cricket cage on a clubhouse terrace, paid for by the association and used hard by a hundred families. That is a heavier duty cycle than a private net and it gets a heavier gauge and closer pole spacing to match.
Whitefield is where Bangalore builds tallest and fastest. A large share of what we fit here is in gated communities of ten to twenty-five floors, and that changes two things about the job: the wind at that height is a genuine load rather than a footnote, and almost every installation needs the apartment association signed off before a drill comes out. We are used to both — most associations on this side already have a specification on file, and we quote to it.
Building stock here
Overwhelmingly apartment stock: large gated communities around ITPL, Hope Farm and Kadugodi, mid-rise blocks through Brookefield and Nallurhalli, and villa rows towards Varthur and Siddapura. Balconies are generally full-height and glazed or open to a low parapet, which is exactly the opening an invisible grill was designed for.
Why our sports nets hold up
We size the frame to how the space will actually be used, not to the drawing. A terrace bay a family uses at weekends and a turf venue running twelve hours a day need different pole spacing and different footings, and pretending otherwise is why cheaply framed enclosures start leaning inside a season.

Questions we get in Whitefield
Can you build a practice net in a Whitefield community podium?
Yes, and podium and clubhouse areas are most of what we build on this side. The span and the pole fixings are worked out on site because a podium slab has its own loading limits — we will tell you at the measurement if the anchoring needs the builder or a structural opinion first.
Which parts of Whitefield do you cover?
The whole Whitefield belt is on our regular east Bangalore route — ITPL, Hope Farm, Kadugodi, Varthur, Brookefield and Nallurhalli included. There is no travel charge anywhere inside Bangalore.
Can a practice net go on a terrace, or does it need open ground?
A terrace works. We use base plates rather than excavated footings where the slab cannot be broken into, and we check the parapet and the slab edge before quoting.
What is the difference between a practice net and a box cricket setup?
A practice bay is open or three-sided. Box cricket is fully enclosed including overhead, which loads the frame far harder — so it is a heavier structure, not just more netting.
How is the mesh different from a safety net?
Much heavier gauge and a different weave. Safety netting is specified against a fall; sports netting is specified against a hard ball hitting the same panel thousands of times.
Will a rooftop net hold up in the pre-monsoon storms?
A properly framed one will — the poles are anchored into the slab rather than weighted, and the footings are sized to the exposure of the site. On a very exposed roof we will tell you at handover whether the net is one worth dropping ahead of a severe squall, and how to do it.
