Local conditions

What HSR Layout changes about the job

The same crew and the same materials everywhere in Bangalore — what changes is the building stock, and what that means for how the job is fitted.

HSR is a layout of independent houses with terraces, and the sports net here is almost always a rooftop one on a private house. That brings a constraint a ground-level net does not have: anything on a roof is a large sail area on an exposed surface, so the pole framing has to be anchored into the slab properly rather than weighted down, and we say at handover whether the net should be dropped in high wind.

HSR is a BDA layout, so most of it is independent houses on 30x40 and 40x60 sites rather than towers — usually three or four floors with the top one let out and a terrace above that. Two jobs come out of that shape repeatedly: railing-height grills on the upper floors, where the original parapet was built to look right rather than to stop a child, and terrace netting on the roof. Agara Lake at the edge of the layout also means the pigeon pressure here is closer to a lake-side area than to the rest of south Bangalore.

Building stock here

Independent houses and duplexes across Sectors 1 to 7, small apartment blocks along the main roads, and a growing band of newer builds towards Sector 7 and the Sarjapur side. Utility balconies at the rear are near-universal in this layout and are usually the first opening a family asks us to close.

What you get

Why our sports nets hold up

We size the frame to how the space will actually be used, not to the drawing. A terrace bay a family uses at weekends and a turf venue running twelve hours a day need different pole spacing and different footings, and pretending otherwise is why cheaply framed enclosures start leaning inside a season.

The Ball Stays Inside No broken windows on the next block, no ball retrieved from the road every third over.
Impact-Rated Mesh A heavier gauge than safety netting, chosen against repeated hard-ball strike rather than fall load.
Framed to the Span Pole diameter, spacing and footing are sized to your area — a terrace bay and a turf venue are not the same job.
Enclosed Overhead if Needed Box cricket and turf setups get a roof section on framing built to carry it.

Three steps, one day

Most HSR Layout homes are measured one day and installed the next.

  1. You call or WhatsApp A photo of the balcony is enough to start.
  2. Free measurement Fixed per-sq-ft quote on the spot, no revisions later.
  3. Installed and cleaned up Our team sets and plumbs the poles or base plates, builds out the frame, then tensions impact-rated netting across the sides and — on an enclosed setup — the roof, load-checking every anchor.

Questions we get in HSR Layout

Can a box cricket net go on the terrace of an HSR house?

Yes, and it is the most common sports net we build in this layout. The poles are anchored into the slab rather than weighted, because a rooftop net is a considerable sail area. We will check the parapet and the slab at the measurement before quoting.

Which parts of HSR Layout do you cover?

All seven HSR sectors are on our regular route, plus Agara, Somasundarapalya and the 27th Main stretch. There is no travel charge inside Bangalore.

Can a practice net go on a terrace, or does it need open ground?

A terrace works. We use base plates rather than excavated footings where the slab cannot be broken into, and we check the parapet and the slab edge before quoting.

What is the difference between a practice net and a box cricket setup?

A practice bay is open or three-sided. Box cricket is fully enclosed including overhead, which loads the frame far harder — so it is a heavier structure, not just more netting.

How is the mesh different from a safety net?

Much heavier gauge and a different weave. Safety netting is specified against a fall; sports netting is specified against a hard ball hitting the same panel thousands of times.

Will a rooftop net hold up in the pre-monsoon storms?

A properly framed one will — the poles are anchored into the slab rather than weighted, and the footings are sized to the exposure of the site. On a very exposed roof we will tell you at handover whether the net is one worth dropping ahead of a severe squall, and how to do it.
