Bird netting across HSR Layout — all seven sectors, the Agara Lake side and the 27th Main corridor. Balconies, terraces, rear utility areas and the ledges on the upper floors of the layout's independent houses.
What HSR Layout changes about the job
The same crew and the same materials everywhere in Bangalore — what changes is the building stock, and what that means for how the job is fitted.
Agara Lake at the edge of the layout gives HSR a resident bird population closer to a lake-side area than to the rest of south Bangalore, and it shows in how quickly an unprotected ledge is taken. The sectors nearest the lake are the ones where we most often end up netting the terrace and the parapet line as well as the balcony, because the birds simply move to whatever is left open.
HSR is a BDA layout, so most of it is independent houses on 30x40 and 40x60 sites rather than towers — usually three or four floors with the top one let out and a terrace above that. Two jobs come out of that shape repeatedly: railing-height grills on the upper floors, where the original parapet was built to look right rather than to stop a child, and terrace netting on the roof. Agara Lake at the edge of the layout also means the pigeon pressure here is closer to a lake-side area than to the rest of south Bangalore.
Building stock here
Independent houses and duplexes across Sectors 1 to 7, small apartment blocks along the main roads, and a growing band of newer builds towards Sector 7 and the Sarjapur side. Utility balconies at the rear are near-universal in this layout and are usually the first opening a family asks us to close.
Why our bird netting hold up
We quote after looking at where the birds actually get in, not just at the opening you can see from inside. That usually means netting a corner return, a beam junction or the strip behind an AC bracket that a cheaper quote leaves open — and it is the only reason our netting stays effective while the neighbour's is re-colonised inside a year.

Questions we get in HSR Layout
Is the pigeon problem worse in the HSR sectors near Agara Lake?
Noticeably, yes. A permanent water body next to housing supports a resident population rather than a passing one, and an open ledge there is taken far faster. In those sectors we would generally suggest netting the terrace parapet at the same time as the balcony rather than waiting to see.
Which parts of HSR Layout do you cover?
All seven HSR sectors are on our regular route, plus Agara, Somasundarapalya and the 27th Main stretch. There is no travel charge inside Bangalore.
Is netting cruel to the pigeons?
No. It is a barrier — the birds cannot land there and go elsewhere. Nothing traps, injures or poisons them, which is not true of spikes or gels.
There is a nest with eggs on my balcony. Can you still net it?
Tell us when you call. We would rather time the job around an active nest than seal a bird in, and we will advise on when to schedule.
Can the duct still be opened for plumbing work?
Yes — duct netting is fitted with resettable fixings so a plumber can open the panel and re-secure it afterwards.
Do you do whole apartment blocks?
Yes, and at association rates. Block-wide netting is usually cheaper per flat and far more effective than owners netting one balcony at a time.
We netted one balcony and the pigeons moved upstairs. What now?
That is normal in a tower — netting one flat displaces the colony rather than removing it. The lasting fix is closing the duct shafts and the shared ledges as a block, which is an association decision. We will quote both so a committee can compare them.
